Program details

What each type supports and how to apply.

Common procedure

The overall flow is the same whatever the type.

  1. STEP 01

    Check the call for applications

Start with the current year's call: the funding cap, cost-share ratio, eligibility and application window. Requirements differ by type, so read the call for that specific type rather than the combined announcement.

  2. STEP 02

Choose a supplier and agree the scope

Decide what to build and prepare the business plan with your supplier. Survey equipment communication and the signals you can collect at this stage, or the plan will not be realistic.

  3. STEP 03

Write the business plan and apply online

Applications go through the smart factory programme portal. The adopting company is the applicant; for consortium types, both the company's and the supplier's details are required.

  4. STEP 04

    Selection, agreement, build

After evaluation and selection you sign an agreement and start the build. Changes outside the agreed scope need a separate procedure, so it is better to fix the scope at the planning stage.

  5. STEP 05

    Inspection, settlement, follow-up

The build is inspected and project costs are settled. Improvements and upgrades needed in operation continue in later stages.

Systems we can build

We combine the scope you need after reviewing your current equipment and workflow.

What to prepare before a consultation

Quick Answers

Smart factory grants: key answers

The questions asked most often when companies review grant programs.

I don't know which program to apply for

Start with three questions: is your site in Gyeonggi Province, can you connect with a large-company lead organization, and is the target a manufacturing process or a service? Those three narrow it down to most types.

Can we receive several programs at once?

Receiving duplicate support for the same build is generally restricted. Duplicate-support clauses are stated in each year's call, so check before applying.

Do you help write the business plan?

IYULAB supports you one-stop, from the business plan to the system build and follow-up. Grant-linked consulting is free of charge.

Can old equipment be connected?

We first survey how the equipment communicates and the state of its data, then collect and standardize the signals you need with an industrial gateway or Resource Lake. The equipment communication survey explains how to check.

Do we have to change every process at once?

No. Start where the impact is largest, such as traceability, production records, quality or inventory, and widen the scope based on verified results. The phased rollout guide sets out the criteria.

What should we prepare for a consultation?

Your company and contact details, the target process, the problems you face, the systems you use and when you hope to build. With these, the review goes quickly.
